Model: FB-001
[Horsehide engineer boots] Based on vintage boots from the 1940s. The leather has a finish that allows you to enjoy the changes that occur over time, like Flat Head's horsehide rider's jacket. The horsehide is tanned with vegetable tannins and dyed with pigments. The surface is treated with paraffin, which is similar to wax. The paraffin enhances the sheen with wear, and the brown core appears where the leather is rubbed, creating a leather that gives off a more vintage feel.

The horsehide contains a cordovan layer. The surface has a unique pattern called tiger's eye or blood line, allowing you to enjoy the unique look and feel of natural leather. (The pattern may vary from one item to another.)
Uniform Piping Color
The piping on the welt and the top of the shaft is the same color, giving the shoe a unified finish.
The seams are triple stitched for added strength.
Goodyear Welt Construction - Double Stitch
The upper, insole, and welt are joined together with a scoop stitch, and then the outsole and welt are joined using the Goodyear welt construction method. The more you wear them in, the more they will conform to your feet, making them very comfortable to wear.
Half-Sole
Vibram #700 is used to get closer to the feel of the 1940's vintage boots on which the boots are based. It gives the boots a clean and classic look.
