BUAISOU: In the late 19th century, denim coveralls became an indispensable item for miners during the California Gold Rush. Our research into the long lost techniques of construction led us to the development of our original 810.
With the understanding of traditional construction in the 810, we have made a contemporary update and are now proud to introduce the 819. Under the model No.2, we have expanded the customer range for our denim by adjusting sewing specifications, fabric thickness, and dyeing process. This allows the 819 to have a more accessible price point than the original 810.
The 819 naturally tapers from a deep rise, and is reinforced with thick wading. Waist adjustments can be made using the two needle cinch back or the belt loop. Copper rivets reinforce the 819 and the iron buttons have a thin varnish finish that will eventually develop a beautiful patina. The 819 is also constructed using only cotton thread dyed with indigo stem from Sukumo production. Buttonholes are detailed with hemp thread dyed with organic persimmon astringent, for a signature BUAISOU hand stitched finish.
Details changed from 810:
-Warp high density → Normal density (13.5 oz denim)
-Inseam roll stitch 3 times → Roll stitch 2 times
-Continuous fly → Normal fly without lock
-Front pocket semicircular shape → Normal shape
-High density twill cloth → Twill cloth (pocket)
-Belt directly connected cinch back → Isolated cinch back
