KASANE NO IROME - Japan Traditional Layered Colors

Layered colors have been a part of Japanese fashion since ancient times. This uniquely Japanese aesthetic sense, which combines the changing seasons and scenery to delicately capture even invisible colors, has been incorporated into denim using D' Artisan's signature craftsmanship. This time, we've created two color combinations: "Ai Shibu," which layers indigo and persimmon, and "Kuro Beni," which combines ink and the Bengara dye.

 "Ai Shibu," which layers the deep indigo with the warm orange of persimmon, creates a rich expression that is both simple and refined. Meanwhile, "Kuro Beni" boasts a subtle hint of crimson beneath a subdued black, creating a refined hue reminiscent of Japanese attire. The Japanese color expression of layering colors not only adds depth, but also reflects the wisdom of the artisans and the Japanese sensibility that lies beneath. The harmony between D' Artisan's handiwork and traditional Japanese colors results in a unique rich hue.
