This is a bandana that incorporates the elements of Tokushima for the limited sale of "SOGO Tokushima store". With the closing of the Sogo Tokushima store (end of August 2020), BUAI SOU will also sell it. In addition to Tokushima's sightseeing spots and food, we use LEDs and Awa dialects as well as Awa Odori. A pattern is created by a technique called discharge printing, in which the color is removed after dyeing, and finally sewn to finish.
Buaisou:The fabric has been changed from the same product so far.
We are approaching the bandana fabric just before the industrialization of chemical indigo at the end of the 19th century. By changing the thread count, thread quality, and weaving density, it has become a binaural specification, which is a major feature. Old-fashioned looms that can weave fabrics of this width are extremely rare, so we asked a machine shop in Tokushima to move the old-fashioned looms. It is a soft and very comfortable fabric.
Buaisou grows and dyes their products with Japanese indigo called "Tadeai" in Japanese, which is also known as Persicaria Tinctoria or Polygonum Tinctorium.
