The iconic Spanish Chair is Børge Mogensen’s masterful contribution to modern design, designed for Fredericia in 1958. Solid oak or walnut combined with the highest calibre saddle leather creates a strong presence in a chair that will only become more beautiful with age.
Materials: Lounge chair of solid wood and saddle leather. Interchangeable seat and back made in vegetable tanned saddle leather with metal buckles. Leather seat has canvas backing. Saddle straps can be tightened as the leather expands through use.

Product care: Lacquer is slightly more sensitive than varnish. However, a lacquer sustains a more beautiful patina and you will not be able to see small scratches with the naked eye.

Børge Mogensen (1914-1972) was one of the most influential designers shaping Modern Danish design and Fredericia’s founding designer. He found inspiration worldwide in his quest to create everyday objects that would endure for generations, believing that furniture should create a sense of tranquillity and a modest appearance. He was acclaimed for his masterful sense of materials and proportions, creating designs celebrated and showcased in leading design museums worldwide.
