I come from Ethiopia and currently live in Switzerland. For a long time, I wasn’t really tapping into my creative side, and it took time to realise how important it is for me to slow down and pay attention — to people, places, and everyday moments.

I like to read, listen to people’s stories, move my body through running and sport, and simply be present. Those small things keep me grounded and curious.

Strangers Unseen came from noticing how often we walk past people without really seeing them. The project is about creating a quiet moment to pause and look again, without trying to explain or define anyone.

Discovering Tempo Design Store felt natural. It’s a space where things feel chosen with care rather than for attention, and being there made it easy to slow down. That atmosphere naturally shaped the photoshoot, which stayed simple and unforced, focused on presence rather than posing. - MICO
