Material
Rice, trichosanthes and big-leaved field incense coexisted in the clear paddy fields in the past. The tall trichosanthes and the low big-leafed field incense grew together on the edge of the rice fields; when the rice became rice, the trichosanthes was woven into mats and the large leaves were Tianxiang wine making is the daily life of the port tribe.
The vigorous parasol grass grows in the clear water terraces and is a traditional weaving material of Coast Ami. Umbrella straw mats, which are used to keep cool when lying down in summer, are daily necessities for every tribal household. The weaving of straw mats is also a daily skill of tribal women.
