This pleated jacket was inspired by items from a simple house brand from a very old era.
All of the pockets are designed to be large so that various small items can be easily stored and carried around.

This original material is woven on an old-fashioned loom at a historic weaver in the Bishu region.

This plain weave fabric is made from thick hemp yarn woven at the highest possible density in both the warp and weft directions.

After weaving, the fabric undergoes a Nidom process, deliberately shrinking it significantly and creating an uneven surface.

Additionally, the rubbing of the fabric surface during the process softens the nap, giving it a moist, brushed feel.

When woven at a high density, the fabric is as stiff as canvas, but by undergoing Nidom processing, it takes on the texture of old cloth that has been cherished for many years.
