Inspired by the 19th-century Roorkee chair and Klint’s 1933 Safari Chair, this design follows the overall shape of the Bentota Dining Chair. First made for a café next door to Bawa’s office in 1965, it was later used at the Bentota Beach adjusts proportions for comfort and features leather from J & R Guram, in Tan colour. North American red oak was selected for its suitability for colouring and sustainability credentials.
