Founded in Tokyo, 2012 by Noboru Tanaka. Mr. Tanaka brings Belafonte over 20 years of garment design experience to create new and unique items in which are made with vintage machines by high end artisans in Japan. Mr Tanaka designs clothing himself, for his own personal style. He takes the best features of vintage garments he collects and makes his own interpretations from them, producing something that is both original and true Japanese quality. These garments are made in very small batches and production is cost is high, but the end result is something completely new that will endure the test of time, adapt to the wearer and get better with age.
