In order to weave denim that realizes natural and beautiful colors without damaging the properties of cotton as a material, Japan Blue utilizes vintage looms which weave as much as possible with uncompromising speed and quality. Japanese "TOYODA" automatic loom "GL-9", was created at the early dawn of Japanese denim. Japan Blue continues to stick to this old-fashioned weaving machine which has disappeared since the beginning of denim mass production. Toyoda shuttle looms are not available to be acquired in a complete state, therefore dedicated craftsmen must assemble piece by piece, operate, maintain and fix these machines at Collect Co. denim weaving factory in Kojima, Okayama. Japan Blue is committed to producing a fabric that is woven over time with attention to detail and care, resulting in the highly sought after genuine uneven denim only possible to be made in Japan.
