 "KAKISHIBU SASHIKO Jeans"

• 14oz original sashiko selvedge denim with persimmon juice dyed by traditional Japanese dyeing "Kakishibu dyeing" for weft and warp dyed with the highest concentration indigo yarn for warp.

• Kakishibu-zome is a traditional dyeing technique that has been passed down from the Heian period more than 900 years ago. It is said that samurai and mountain priests wore reddish-brown clothes dyed with persimmon tannin during the Heian period.

• Cloth dyed with persimmon tannin, which has been used as an herbal medicine for its high bactericidal and deodorant properties, changes color when exposed to sunlight and air, and is known as sun dyeing

•  By increasing the number of weaves to the limit and weaving, we have reproduced the thick fabric with the original texture of Sashiko.

• The swelling of the thread and the thickness that can be seen in multiple layers create an even more expressive feel and feel that is unique to sashiko textiles.

• The overlapping colors of persimmon tannin and indigo are "Japanese colors" that combine gentleness, depth, and elegance.
