The collaboration first launched in 2018 with the DW-5600HS-4JF, marking a historic first for G-SHOCK: combining a CASIO watch body with a leather strap crafted by another brand. The result was a bold fusion of digital timekeeping and traditional leather craftsmanship. Subsequent editions included the DW-5750 in 2020 and the DW-6900 in 2023, rendered entirely in black with a bridle leather strap.

For this fourth edition, the DW-5900-commonly referred to as the "three-eyed" G-SHOCK—is featured for the first time. The watch face is rendered in white, contrasting with the natural tone of the case colour inspired by vegetable-tanned leather, a signature material of Hender Scheme. The crisp white accents give the piece a clean yet refreshing presence.

The strap, hand-stitched and crafted by Hender Scheme to match G-SHOCK's renowned durability, uses pit-tanned cow leather—a dense and sturdy material that gradually changes in color and texture with wear. The "Hender Scheme" logo is discreetly stamped on the strap and case back, and appears on the display when the backlight is activated.

The subdial markings around the "three eyes" adopt the same natural tone as the case, while all other markings are removed to maintain a minimal appearance.

This collaboration brings together Hender Scheme, a brand that continues to pursue its philosophy of "NEW CRAFT," and G-SHOCK, the globally respected symbol of Japanese toughness and precision. The result is a model that distills the essence of both brands in a minimalist form. The digital display of the G-SHOCK expresses precise, mechanical time, while the leather strap — made by Hender Scheme and evolving through use — reflects a personal, lived experience of time.
