These work pants are crafted from our original ring wabash fabric. The ring-shaped discharge dot stripes are intentionally designed to appear uneven and faded, and beige is layered on top to recreate the rough, rugged feel of the time. The design is inspired by workwear from the early 1900s. The classic details are combined with a slightly wide silhouette and a high rise for a relaxed, comfortable fit.

In the early 1900s, the development of cylinder printing technology using steam engines made it possible to print continuous patterns like stripes on indigo fabric. This technology was revolutionary at the time, bringing a new dimension to the world of workwear. Wabash fabric, which creates stripes through discharge printing rather than by "laying" color on it, gained popularity among railroad workers and factory workers for its stain-resistant properties. However, the complex process made it unsuitable for mass production, and by the mid-1930s, indigo-dyed printed fabrics rapidly disappeared due to changing times and fluctuating demand. While "Wabash" enjoys immense popularity today, it was actually produced for only about 30 years, making it truly a "phantom fabric." D' Artisan has unraveled its precious history and documents, and has created its own original Ring Wabash fabric to bring the atmosphere of that time to life in the present day. The ring-shaped discharge dot stripes are reminiscent of the uneven cylinder prints made by steam engines in the early 1900s, and are intentionally designed to have uneven and faded ink. Beige is then layered on top to recreate the rough and rugged texture of the time. This is a special piece that has been created with a historical background and no effort spared on the craftsmanship.
