This table from 1965 has a wrought-iron stand with a top made of marble tiles set within a timber frame. Bawa’s practice designed similar tables for various projects. The re-edition matches the dimensions of the side table at No. 11, 33rd Lane. The wrought iron material and welded joints have been replaced with stainless steel and fasteners. Upcycled marble tiles from the stone processing company TAB India are used, bringing in the concept of upcycling.
