PHANTOM HANDS

MODEL: MICO TAG

'Phantom Hands' is a metaphor for generations of artisans whose contributions manifest in each piece of furniture we make. Phantom Hands makes handcrafted, design-driven contemporary furniture. Our workshop in Bangalore, India is an ecosystem of skilled carpenters, wood polishers, cane weavers, upholsterers, and tailors from craft communities across the country. We work with wood, fabrics, cane, metal, etc., and collaborate with furniture and textile designers to create collections that build on the heritage of Indian craftsmanship and design.  - Phantom Hands

Yumiko Sekine started her first business in 1993 importing used books
and houseware from Europe and America to Japan. In her search for more products, she could not find affordable every day linens that she had used during her childhood. In 1999 she visited Lithuania, a country that grows flax, whose fibers are spun into linen. She contacted linen producer and started to have them produce her own product designs in Lithuania. Her products lines are leading and defining the natural life style trend today. Sekine continues to be inspired to create beautiful simple products for daily use.

Since its foundation in 1911, the family-owned company Fredericia has built a strong tradition of craftsmanship and design, developed in close collaboration with a circle of internationally recognised designers. They all play a part in the design and craftsmanship brand Fredericia is today. Forming a creative culture characterised by integrity, artistic expression, material expertise and knowledge. The company was initially established as Fredericia Stolefabrik (Fredericia Chair Factory). From the very start, Fredericia became known for extremely high-quality furniture in various tradition styles.
