RO lamp draws inspiration from the old craft maker traditions in the 1920s and 1930s where a simple lamp shade was made of yarn usually tied around a wooden stand. The RO lamp shade is made of jute yarn tied around a simple base in line with the old traditions in Denmark. The lamp name RO in Danish refers to the calmness and simple human feeling of well being.
Iron structure wrapped in jute yarn. Comes with 3 meter black cord. E27 socket, max 25W. CE-Certified, IP20.
Kim Richardt
Kim Richardt is a former blacksmith and autodidactic Danish designer. A deep fascination with classic Danish Design furniture led Richardt to open his own vintage design furniture boutique in Central Copenhagen. From the work bench in this very shop, Richardt has created several designs for Danish brands, and now in collaboration with MADE BY HAND, the RO lamp series. MADE BY HAND and Kim Richardt share a mutual passion for craftmanship and beautiful, authentic creations in natural materials.
