Part-Time Sales Associate

Tempo Design Store in Lausanne is hiring an Entry-Level Part-time Sales Associate with a flexible schedule which will be essential during peak commercial days/hours. The ideal candidate will be passionate about high-end independent retail, quality artisan brands and design brands, preservation of Japanese craft and culture, along with natural materials and techniques of production. 

Responsibilities

Representing the store's philosophy

• Learning the information pertaining to the philosophy of the store, brands and products
• Communicating store's philosophy with the customers
• Dressing appropriately to represent the store

Sales

• Opening and closing the store on days of work
• Clocking-in in the beginning of the shift / Clocking-out at the end of the shift
• Greeting, helping and ringing-out customers
• Communicating the store exchange policy to customers

Customer Service

• Helping customers with any questions, information, sizing, exchanges and taking pre-orders
• Reporting exchanges, pre-orders or anything else to Store Manager

Store Functions

• POS operation and maintenance
• Keeping the store clean, organized and presentable
• Occasional inventory and delivery stock count 

 Qualifications

• Knowledge and appreciation for independent design and craft brands
• Languages: Fluent in both written and spoken English and French
• 3 years minimum of previous retail experience
• Experience with POS and Inventory programs
